Demineralized Water Production: High purity water is produced by pumping pretreated feedwater through reverse osmosis membranes and polishing the stream by electro-deionization. A small waste stream results. The system is reliable and efficient given that proper care is given in design and operation to avoid fouling or damage to the membrane components. |
